This is one of the first activities of the GIN club. It brings together members who usually participate in different activities.
We typically meet about 6 times a year, although the actual timing is very flexible.
At the end of each year, the co-ordinator finds six “volunteers” to organise a lunch and agrees rough months.
It is then up to the organiser to select the date and find a suitable restaurant in our area that offers a reasonably priced “plat de jour” and can seat 20-24 members.
The organizer mails out a letter announcing the date and details of the venue, co-ordinates the reservation and takes care of collecting the money to settle the bill.
We are usually about twenty lunchers and have fun in getting to know each other better over a good meal and a glass (or two) of wine, plus discovering a variety of new restaurants.
Lunch is usually scheduled to start at 12:00 and we usually finish about 14:00.
