GIN = Gentlemen in Nyon
We are a group of, mainly retired, men living roughly in the Nyon area with some common interests.
There are no rules (but see small print, below *), no hierarchy and no subscription fees. We deliberately have no leader although each activity has its own coordinator. The club is the sum of its activities which are:
Club Activities
- Biking
- Cross Country Skiing
- Culture
- Dog Walking
- Downhill Skiing
- Golf
- Hiking
- Lunches
- Real Bridge
- Sailing
- Snowshoeing
- Social Bridge

Any member wishing to join any of these activities can add his own name once logged in – there is a link to do this on the home page. Alternatively send an email to Mark Watts or Peter Taylor and we’ll add your name to the appropriate list(s).

* Small print, club rules
We actually have 3 very strict rules for joining and continuing to be a member.
Any member must
1. Be alive.
2. Have an email address (otherwise we can’t sign them into the website).
3. Want to be a member.
Club Assets
- An old beaten up card table donated by Rob Mackenzie’s wife to Ken Forrester and then by Ken to the social bridge group.
- Six socks with the toes cut out, donated by Hamish McCombie to the wine tasting group. Rumour has it that there are now even more socks with some being donated by Ian Cappin.
- One bottle of absinthe from the Creux du Van hike, donated by Paul. Now drunk.
Costs
The only costs are the web site and this is handled by a “voluntary” contribution of 5 francs per person every few years.
