This is a newly formed group within the GIN club. We are still trying to work out how it will work so please send any comments or suggestions you may have.<\/p>\n
Giving culture a wide definition, we can include art, music, literature, theatre, opera, cinema, architecture and any other activity that can provoke thought, comment and discussion.<\/p>\n
We keep a roll of emails of interested members on the web site so we can easily send emails to all registered. We also use a dedicated blog to communicate via the Web site. All activity will be on an ad-hoc basis, there will be no attempt to schedule any regular activity such as usually occurs in a book club etc.<\/p>\n
Members will suggest likely events, publications, performances etc. and, with enough interest shown, each participant will read or attend at a time to suit themselves with or without their usual companion.<\/p>\n
Subsequently, a discussion of the participating GIN members will be arranged, at a pub, restaurant or someone\u2019s home, where we can compare our views of the event or work over a drink, tea\/coffee or lunch. Over time the format may change considerably, this is simply an initial proposal.<\/p>\n
Signing up to this group means that you are automatically contacted when any event is proposed but does not imply any commitment to attend.<\/p>\n
